 | Application for Faribault Hometown Heroes April 7, 2023 Submitted by Kathy Larson Dave Larson US Air Force Vietnam 1964 – 68 Dave Larson grew up on a farm near Milroy, MN.;the oldest of 7 children. He came to Faribault in 1975 as a Dental Hygienist for Dr. Howard Sauer & then transferred to the Minnesota Regional Center where he retired in 2006. Dave attended Mankato State University & Normandale Junior College earning a degree in Dental Hygiene. He was the 3rd male to earn a degree in this profession in Minnesota. Dave was an active member of these Faribault organizations: American Legion 48 years( also in the American Legion Honor Guard), Knights Of Columbus Council 889 for 42yrs (was the K.C. Grand Knight) worked on many events, l.C. & Divine Mercy Catholic Churches for 42 yrs.(played in the Church Baseball League for l.C. for many years).a Board member for the Faribault Baseball Park & Recreation. Dave & wife Kathy have 2 children Bryan (wife Kim) & Amy( husband Kevin) & 7 grandsons. Dave was very proud of his military service and was always willing to help others in need. Dave was always loyal to his Family, Friends and Country. |
